Internal Transport

A Community Designed at Walking Pace

ARDEN has no private vehicles inside the residential zone. The design speed is 8km/h — the pace of a purposeful walk.

A fleet of 12 shared electric community carts handles mobility needs, farm logistics, and load carrying — all bookable via the community app. The peripheral EV carpark handles all private vehicles, with solar-canopied charging bays.

Children move freely. No road noise. No parking visible from any home. This is not a restriction — it is what makes ARDEN feel the way it does.

Day-to-Day Services

What You'll Still Drive For — Occasionally

ARDEN is 20–30 minutes from a regional centre with a full range of commercial services.

  • Specialist medical care, surgery, hospital admission
  • Veterinary care beyond basic needs
  • Pharmacy dispensing beyond acute medication stocked at the medical centre
  • Clothing, electronics, appliance retail
  • Banking branches

A community of 227 homes is not attempting to be a city — it is attempting to make the things that define daily quality of life completely unnecessary to seek elsewhere. Everything else can wait for a monthly trip to town.
